Happy Hour: Winter Cocktail Delights

Happy Friday, friends! Though the holidays may be over, the best parts of winter – the seasonal spices and unforgettable flavors – are still available at some of our favorite happy-hour hangouts. We recommend you hurry out to wet your whistle on the following wintry cocktails before spring drink specials make their debut. A few of our faves include:

Snuggle Up at El Chorro
Hot cocoa, peppermint schnapps and candy cane are the trifecta of cold-weather delights. El Chorro’s warm cocktail, the Snuggler, combines these three seasonal tastes for a perfect winter drink topped off with whipped cream.

Still Making Spirits Bright
Who says cranberries are limited to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners?! At El Chorro, the Holiday Cosmo makes cranberries and apple cider fashionably delicious beyond the usual family-style feasts. Made with Finlandia cranberry vodka, cranberry juice, apple cider and fresh lime, this nip extends the warm holiday spirit well into the New Year.
El Chorro features happy hour specials from 4 – 7 p.m., daily.

A Nod to Egg Nog
Hole-in-the-Wall at Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort is keeping it simple with rich, nostalgic Egg Nog. Made with Jim Beam bourbon, Myers’s Dark Rum and the restaurant’s egg nog, this frothy winter classic is lip-lickin’ delicious.
Hole In The Wall is open seasonally, call for current hours at happy hour information 602-997-2626.

Cinnamon Pinch
Putting a wintertime twist on a summertime tipple, Pointe In Tyme at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort combines apple cider and a pinch of cinnamon for a Holiday Sangria that will change your perception of this Spanish drink.

A Winter ‘Rita
Margaritas are an Arizona cocktail staple. But Pointe In Tyme’s Ginger Rita ups the Southwestern ante on this beloved beverage with a dash of ginger and apple flavors.
Pointe In Tyme features happy hour specials from 4 – 7 p.m., daily.
